Assessment:
How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically?
The assessment within each of the domains that I have with my practitioner and myself is an awesome relationship that he understands and know when I am in serve pain and when I am ok but not feeling good. Our relationship became more spiritual as the years go by due to the extensive care I have been responsible for the last twelve years. My doctor has been very supportive of me. My health he keep me inform of what I need to stay focus on.
Dacher states “The healer and the healee is a joined healing community who are seeking the truth of the person life for the purpose of alleviating suffering at its source and promoting human flourishing”. (Dacher, 2006, pg. 169)
In the last two years I can truly say my score is working up towards a ten towards wellness spiritually, physically and psychologically. This class has really enlighten me on how these areas wellness spiritual, physical and psychological relates to the healing partnership between the individual and the practitioner should have to “alleviate the suffering and promote human flourishing”.
“The seven essential aspects to an integral practice”:
  1. The integral map
  2. The healer
  3. The healee
  4. The integral relationship
  5. The integral diagnosis
  6. The integral prescription
  7. The setting
I will use these seven essential aspects towards an integral practice as a guideline on the experience I should receive from the practitioner’s office to determine if I am comfort with him or her based how he or she listen to me and treat me when I address my problems so we can come to an agreement on how the various methods, remedies or therapies will be integrated to evolve an approach to improve my health and allow me to reach my full potential.
The “Five Guiding Principle, Holistic, Evolutionary, Intentional, Person-Centered, and Dynamic”, has been my personal health map that I used as guideline to empower me start being in charge of my life. (Dacher, 2006, pg.166-167)

My spiritual goals I practice:

My psychological goals I practice:

Practices for personal health:
What strategies can you implement to foster growth in each of the following domains; Physical, Psychological, and Spiritual. Provide at least two examples of exercises or practices in each domain. Explain how you will implement each example.
The strategies I plan to foster my growth towards the physical, psychological and spiritual stay in tune with my body, maintain my diet, see my doctors on a regular basis, performed any form of exercises daily than I like to do so I can keep reducing my weight.
The two mediation mp3 I enjoyed doing were subtle mind and aesclepian meeting. These mind exercises really relaxes me. The subtle mind put my mind at ease and my body was totally relaxed by allowing my mind to become still and clear of any and all things so I could experience the mental activity of clear thoughts, creative images and enjoying the feelings of being lifeless. (Dacher, 2006, pg. 71).
The aesclepian meeting is an exercise I will do when I had a hard day at work. This exercise allowed my mind to travel and mentally take me to another place in time where good time and fun helped me remove the stress and the anxiety immediately.
These two mediation exercises I will employ in my daily routine.

Commitment:
How will you assess your progress or lack of progress in the next six months? What strategies can you use to assist in maintaining your long-term practices for health and wellness?
My commitment to myself  in the next six months lose my weight empower myself with other health groups to keep me knowledgeable and aware of the health so I can begin again of enjoying my life without less pain and live well.

Unit 8: Optimal Well-being: Psychological, Spiritual and Physical Keys to Health and Thriving
The Aesclepian meeting exercise and the Visualization exercise were my two exercises that were very beneficial to me.
The visualization exercise allowed me to visualize and experience the good times of my life. I like how this exercise starts out to have you think of someone special, a special place, or someone who I had great respect for.  This exercise allowed me to go back to memory lane and good times of many special ones in my life the wonderful place we spent so much time. When I did this exercise I was going to through some sad time and it lifted so much pressure off of me that I felt less tension and more relaxed.
The Aesclepian meeting exercise was an excellent and very beneficial for me. I have never done any type of medication. I really like how the mp3, Aescelpian meeting exercise started. I enjoyed relaxing in my favor chair and learn how to do the breathing pattern and to experience of this medication help me have a more open mind with clear thoughts. The five characteristics of Aesclepian healing, holistic, evolutionary, intentional, person-centered, and dynamic has help me to deal with the minor issues I have with my weight and to make sure my doctors is addressing my needs to be success to lose this weight before graduation ceremony this August, 2012….dorothy

Unit 7  Current Trends and Research Supporting the Mind-Body-Spirit Paradigm

Unit 7 Question #1 – (Meeting Aesclepius mp3)
The meeting Aesclepius mp3 was great. I did this exercise with my girlfriend. She stated that I started off with a big smile came on my face when it was ask of me to think of someone I honored and loved. She told me I became so relax that my body became lifeless then minutes later I went into a deep sleep and stayed asleep 45 minutes later after the mp3 finished.

Unit 7 Question #2
The say “On cannot lead another where one has not gone himself” is a very true statement.  It is hard to tell somebody to have regular checks to practice preventive maintenance regarding your health when you see the doctor only when you are hurting, feeling sick, or a major problem develop to cause you to become deathly ill. It is hard to inform somebody to keep in touch or find the right wellness professional who suits your needs, understand you as a person, is concern with your well-being and you do not have a doctor or the last time you seen a doctor since  your job physical  or you do not have one of your own.
The wellness professional must take the time with each of his or her patient to make a connection of where the mental well-being is so the practitioner can relate to their psychological. The patient’s physical capacity is required for the practitioner to make sure they are staying healthy, eating right, exercising and getting enough rest. The practitioner who is totally concern about his patient’s well-being keep a record and records all visit so he can review and take notice of any improvement on the patient’s part of taking care of him or herself.
I believe for you to develop your spiritual side is to read God’s word, go to church and listen to the preach work from a preacher. It helps you to understand the bible messages and learned how to apply God’s word to your everyday living on how to treat people with love and kindness, be more understanding to a person’s needs, be more compassion, and live by the holy words of God.

Unit 6 - Exercises for Mind-Body-Spirit Wellness and Healing

Loving and Kindness mind exercise
The final stage of loving-kindness mind exercise was different for me. I had my girlfriend from high school to visit with me so I had her to do this exercise with me. I told her to time me for 10 minute. I am listening to my jazz from my desktop and begin to relax so I can concentrate on how I can to be more “open hearted, sensitive, generous, and a lot more intimate with less emotions…lol I became totally relaxed and I started to make a mental-to-do list within my brain on how I should be more open hearted when I do not want to be bother with other people’s concerns, how I should be more sensitive after I have told the person not to do something so their feelings would spare them from hurt feelings, how I am to be more generous when I do not want to share with nasty people, and how I am to be more intimate, WOW!!! I really like this part more….hmmm…lol
When the ten minutes were up I asked my girlfriend to recite the short poem on page 93 line by line I just could not reminder the words because my mind so relaxed and my eyes close.
I believe more intimacy has many ways you can foster greater wellness. The body enjoys the pleasures that it receives and the mind is relaxed. This is a great way of exercising the body and mind while you enjoy the pleasure of a love one so you can adventure on how you can be more “open hearted, sensitive, generous, and a lot more intimate with less emotions with that person
Integral Assessment exercise
I had my girlfriend to assist me in doing this exercise also.
I sat in my chair still relaxed from the first exercise. I closed my eyes and listen as she read this exercise. The more she read the more I felt disconnected towards this exercise.…dorothy

Unit 5 - The Key Role of Thought in Wellness and Healing

Subject: Loving Kindness/Subtle Mind Exercises

My experience listening to Loving Kindness again was no different from the last time.  My comments was, I was able to relax totally again and became motionless.
I truly did not like the part of the exercise when they want me to think of things that brought me pain. I developed mix feelings leaving me upset, confuse, hurt and very sad. Its like I had taken on all the burdens I had prayed to God to take from me to have those same burdens to reappear.

My experience listening to the Subtle Mind exercise was very refreshing and rewarding for me. This exercise really relaxed me and was able to do what was being asked of me to do. I notice that I was able to control my mind and focus while I am doing my breathing patterns. The exercise of listening to my breathing patterns was a mind reliever for me and it allowed me to remove all the heavy stuff I have been dealing with for a couple of weeks and I really needed a break from. The sound of the water calmed my restless mind and put my mind into a still mind.

When I completed this exercise my mind was clear to let me rethink how I needed to address this problem I’ve been dealing with for weeks. Before I did this exercise I had no clue how to address the problem.

Subject: Spiritual –wellness to Mental and physical wellness

These three elements are so important in my personal life because it keeps me balance.

I am dealing with a private and personal problem which has cause me to face making an important decision of what I need to do about my life so I won’t fail in life or succeed to become victorious.

My spiritual-wellness is very important to me to stay connect with Jesus Christ. God’s words regulate my mind and keep me focus when Satan wants to leave me with fear and doubt so he can attack my mental state of my mind to have me to think I am worthless and scared to face any problem I need to face without confidence.

My physical wellness at my age is a great concern to me. The physical fitness program really helps keep me physically fit. I enjoy working out in the gym and eating well balance meals daily. I feel more in control of my life and I am not so tired at the end of the day. My energy level is high which keeps active.  I look forward to enjoying my last fifty years without pain and stress.

Young minds are full of curiosity
Old minds are mature and become wise for what we have learned
Young bodies are strong and can endure more
Old bodies need to preserve their bodies to enjoy life
with no pressures the world has to offer
Young souls are seeking to be saved
Old souls know they are saved and waiting to save
a soul for Jesus Christ.....dorothy

These exercises were very different for me. I allow myself to become open-minded do these exercises. During the week I practice listening to these exercises different times each day and night.
The feelings I encounter when I listen to these exercises in morning made me feel refresh and ready to start my day. I was more focus and was able to what was asked of me to do during these exercises. There were a couples times I listen to these exercises after I finish doing my capstone work in my other class and I felt as those these exercises took so much pressure of my mind, I became so relax that I became motionless and I had a very hard time doing what was asked of me to do. When the exercises were about to finish I was able to complete the last task that was asked of me to do, “open my eyes and refocus myself to my surroundings” lol. I continue my classwork without being tired and feeling like I was under heavy pressure as I was before. The last two days I did these exercises after having a rough time at work. I usually do not have rough days at work. But these days were different. When I did these exercise I was able to relax totally again and became motionless. During the exercises I had started focusing in on what had happen at my work place and channeled in on what cause me to have a rough time and I was able to understand the problem and come up with a solution if this type of problem happen again.
These exercises are beneficial and very help for the mind to experience an workout to develop emotion control and to be more stable in an uncontrollable situations.  When I completed these exercises I emailed them to my closest friends to try doing these exercises and be open-minded to the type exercises they have never done before. Some of my friends like it some did not…Oh well you can’t please everyone…lol

Subject: Mental Workout
The concept of mental workout is a daily exercise to evolve the person’s psychospiritual life and to have a clear understanding of the contemplative practice to develop a progress of expanding the person’s consciousness and the healing capacity.
There are two types of contemplative practices, loving-kindness and subtle mind. The Loving-kindness is a practice to teach a person how to open their hearts to others without self- centeredness, and priming the person’s mind for further development. The subtle mind is a practice to open the person mind to reveal the wisdom that is an essential element to heal the source and drive human flourishing.
The benefits of mental workout to have a complete control over your mind and learn how to stabilize the person well-being, maintain in a calm-abiding state of consciousness and unity consciousness. The mental workout develops the mind to become mature with wisdom and to allow the person to be peaceful, compassion, and happiness as a whole person.
The two practices, subtle mind and loving-kindness, helps to “tame and train the mind, open the heart, expand consciousness, and develop the progress of psychospiritual flourishing which introduce integral health to the person who has learn through this workout to express more loving-kindness to others and the wisdom to allow the person to make better decisions concerning their health needs. (Dacher, 2006, pg 66-68)

I could not stay focus and the more I try to focus on what he want me to visualize the more I became frustrated and tense. So I stop trying to visualize what he wanted me to see and just listen to the calmness of his voice and the frustration went away.
