Unit 8: Optimal Well-being: Psychological, Spiritual and Physical Keys to Health and Thriving
The Aesclepian meeting exercise and the Visualization exercise were my two exercises that were very beneficial to me.
The visualization exercise allowed me to visualize and experience the good times of my life. I like how this exercise starts out to have you think of someone special, a special place, or someone who I had great respect for.  This exercise allowed me to go back to memory lane and good times of many special ones in my life the wonderful place we spent so much time. When I did this exercise I was going to through some sad time and it lifted so much pressure off of me that I felt less tension and more relaxed.
The Aesclepian meeting exercise was an excellent and very beneficial for me. I have never done any type of medication. I really like how the mp3, Aescelpian meeting exercise started. I enjoyed relaxing in my favor chair and learn how to do the breathing pattern and to experience of this medication help me have a more open mind with clear thoughts. The five characteristics of Aesclepian healing, holistic, evolutionary, intentional, person-centered, and dynamic has help me to deal with the minor issues I have with my weight and to make sure my doctors is addressing my needs to be success to lose this weight before graduation ceremony this August, 2012….dorothy

  1. Hello
I really learned a lot from all of these exercises and I just wish that the visualization exercises were not hard for me because I do think that they could be very beneficial to me. In the end I picked meditation and the loving-kindness exercises because these can also be done anywhere.

  2. I love reading your blog from the pics to the quotes and might I say you outdone yourself with the quotes this time, I loved them.
I love the visualization exercises as well, I have used it in a different way than we are using here and love them both. Hey there is nothing wrong with reliving the good times and being with that special person real or in your head. I also use visualization to see myself doing something before doing it and if you can and do visualize it I believe it is more apt to happen. Great blog and I will continue to follow.

  3. Hi Dorothy, I enjoyed your post this week. I just did the visualization exercise too and I really liked it. I think I have a new interest in visualization. I also liked reading about this healing technique. I think this could be very relevant in our world of health care today.
